Art Quilt Club - Exploratory Meeting
Tuesday, January 11, 2022

We are going to hold an exploratory meeting to start a new Art Quilt Club.  The meeting will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 3-5pm here at Fabrics Unlimited.  The purpose is to discuss starting the club and how the club should operate.  So all you fiber artists out there, be sure to sign up.

This club will be for non-traditional quilters and those who like to experiment with different media and how to pair it up with fabric. The different media could include different types of non-cotton fabrics, different paints, pencils, oil sticks, beads, foiling, stamping and fibers to name a few things.

I will be assisting the very talented and creative Carol Holsopple with this group.  Below are pictures of 2 of Carol's pieces that she has graciously allowed me to display in the shop.  Each is about 20" square, so it makes it easy to experiment with smaller projects! Carol will also bring several other samples of her work to this meeting.  She is gifted in many techniques so you really should come to the meeting to see what she has to offer.  We are also looking for other fiber artists who would be interested in sharing techniques, so if this applies to you, be sure to bring some samples of your work.

Please call to reserve a seat.  There will be no cost for this exploratory meeting, but we need to know how many chairs to set up!

If you're not sure about Art Quilting, you are encouraged to come to this first meeting to see what it's all about.   Those who are signing up for Sandra Mollon's workshop are perfect candidates for this club.  If you know anyone in either of the Artist Guilds in town, we would appreciate it if you would please pass this information on to them, too!
