Virtual/Hands-on Long Arm Training Event
with Leslie Main, National Educator
9am-4pm
We've teamed up with Handi Quilter National Educator Leslie Main to bring you this monthly event about longarm quilting techniques, specialized accessories, and the basics of working with a longarm quilting machine. Award-winning National Educator Leslie Main will teach you virtually via Zoom, but you will be hands-on in the Fabrics Unlimited Studio. There will also be on-site assistance in the Studio. You get the best of both worlds!!
This is a beginning+ level class which will also be great for a brush-up class if you haven't quilted for awhile. Before lunch you will be diving deeper into learning free motion quilting designs on the HQ Amara 20 machine. Leslie will teach you to create flowing designs by connecting simple design elements with continuous lines, traveling across the quilt or filling in a specific area. Learn how drawing and muscle memory contribute to beautiful free-motion quilting, and how you can create stunning designs.
We will break for lunch, and then the afternoon session will be a free-sew from 1-4pm. You will have the opportunity to practice what you learned in the morning session as well as what you learned last month. Linda Visnaw and Sheri will be there to assist you and answer any questions you may have. Cost is $75, which includes all of your supplies*, handouts, and lunch.

*Please note that although all of your supplies are included in the cost of the class, I would encourage you to purchase a sketch pad if you don't already have one so that you can keep your sketches together and carry it with you in case you are inspired to sketch a design at any time. Staples has a variety of sketch pads available.
