**Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with Fabric Art!**

Come have fun in the morning or afternoon as you learn more amazing techniques using Tsukineko Inks!

In this creative, hands-on class, you'll make a patriotic flag design that will look wonderful on a dish towel, T-shirt, tote bag, or other fabric project. You'll explore several exciting techniques, including:

• Creating a field of stars using a resist technique, a sea sponge, and Totally Stable iron-on stabilizer
• Making bold red and white stripes with a direct application technique, squeezing ink directly from the bottle
• Adding the finishing touch with decorative star buttons

By the end of class, you'll have a unique patriotic project ready to display or wear with pride!

Absolutely NO artistic talent is required. If you can have fun, you can do this class!

Skill Level: Beginner Friendly

Supply List for You to Bring to Class:

• White paper towels
• Small pkg of hand wipes
• Clear Aloe Vera Gel
• Tsukineko Inks: Ultramarine and Red Delicious (Available for purchase at Fabrics Unlimited)
• Scissors to use on paper
• 100% White Cotton Towel (Available for purchase at Fabrics Unlimited)

OR

• 100% Cotton White T-Shirt (NOT available at Fabrics Unlimited). 

NOTE: Wash the item to be used WITHOUT softeners including dryer sheets. Do NOT put in the dryer. Item should be Air Dried.  or colors will not be fully absorbed into the fibers, causing the colors to fade when washed.

Class Policies

FEES & CANCELLATION
Classes must be paid in full at time of registration. Supply lists will be issued upon payment of registration fees. Fees listed are for registration and do NOT include supplies unless noted in the class description. 15% discount on class supplies if the student presents the supply list when purchasing supplies.

If a book or pattern is required for the class, each student must have their own original pattern or book.  No sharing or photocopies of patterns are allowed due to copyright laws.

No refunds for student cancellations, but the class fee may be applied to another class with at least 48 hours cancellation notice. Registration fee is forfeited with less than 48 hours cancellation notice. No refunds for classes with outside teachers unless you find someone to take your place.

Why no refunds for classes with outside teachers? An outside teacher is a teacher that is not employed by Fabrics Unlimited. We contract with outside teachers for set fees, which include travel expenses and class handouts, etc, that they provide. Fabrics Unlimited does not receive a refund of any of those fees if students do not show up. 

GUESTS & CHILDREN
Children and guests are not allowed in classes. To allow children and guests would not be fair to the other students in the class.

SNACKS AND LUNCH
You are welcome to bring snacks.  Coffee and water will be available. All drinks must have lids in the classroom. There will be a refrigerator available if you need it.  For classes lasting 6 hours or more, you may bring a lunch.
