Spring in the Southwest Challenge Kit

Join us in celebrating Spring in the Southwest.  This participant packet will give you what you need to participate in Fabrics Unlimited's 2026 Spring in the Southwest Quilt Challenge! The kit consists of a Fat Eighth each of 2 beautiful batik fabrics that show some typical Southwest desert colors.  Please note there will be a $5 shipping charge for any kits that are not picked up at the shop.

RULES:

• Quilt must somehow celebrate "Spring in the Southwest"
• Quilt must be a minimum height and width of 20" per side and a maximum height and width of 36"
   per side.
• The two fabrics from Fabrics Unlimited's 2026 challenge kit must be visible in the quilt. 
• Any additional fabrics can be used
• Optional embellishments such as paint, ink, beads, buttons, etc, can be used.
• The quilt must have a top layer, batting, and backing which must be held together with stitching.
• Use your imagination - patterns and pre-printed panels are strongly discouraged.

Quilts will be on display from January 17 to February 21 in the store.  Customers can vote on their favorite quilts during this time.  Winner of the customer choice awards will be announced February 24.

• 2nd place - $50 Gift Certificate
• 3rd place - $25 Gift Certificate
